Tomato Basil Pasta
Half a Box of Pasta or 2 Servings Fresh Pasta
1 tbs Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1-2 Cartons of Grape Tomatoes (about 20 oz.)
2 Cloves Chopped Garlic
3 tbs Grated Parmesan
A Handful of Fresh Chopped Basil
2 tsp Garlic Powder
salt and pepper
Set a pot of salted water to boil.
In the meantime, fill your skillet with the grape tomatoes and drizzle olive oil, salt and pepper.
Cover the skillet and let the tomatoes cook on high heat until they start to burst (without the lid your tomatoes will end up all over your kitchen). Shake the pan around a few times to prevent burning.
Once your tomatoes are cooked, lower the heat and add tomato sauce, and chopped garlic. Let the sauce simmer until your pasta is ready.
Cook pasta according to cooking directions, or if using fresh cook pasta until it floats.
Drain pasta and DO NOT RINSE! Just toss it into the skillet with the sauce and stir.
Add fresh chopped basil and grated parmesan!
