1 cup Rice (i like to use jasmine/basmati)
1.5 cups water
1 tbs Canola Oil
2 tsp salt
Rinse 1 cup of rice through a metal sieve to take off the starch. Also, our local news reported traces of arsenic in rice so… yea.
Place the rice into a small pot and fill it with 1.5 cups water. Add 2 tsp salt and a tbs of oil.
Turn up the heat and let it come to a boil. Once it starts to boil, cover the pot and reduce to a simmer. Let it simmer for about 20 minutes.
After 20 minutes, fluff it up with a fork and you’re good to go!
