This Protein Filled Chili Will Warm You Up On Any Cold Winter Day!

1 lb Ground Chicken
1 Large Onion
4 Cloves of Garlic, Minced
2 tbs Canola Oil
1/2 a Large Sweet Potato
1 Carrot
1 Can of Black Beans, Rinsed
1 Can of Kidney Beans, Rinsed
1 Can of Crushed Tomatoes
1 tbs Cumin
1 tbs Hot Paprika or Chili Powder
2 tsp Garlic Powder


Pre chop all of your vegetables to make the cooking process flow quickly.

Sauté onions in a dutch oven with canola oil. Add salt, pepper, cumin, hot paprika or chili powder.

Add minced garlic once the onions become translucent.

Move the onions over and throw in the ground chicken and cook through.

Add carrots, sweet potatoes, black beans, kidney beans to the pot. Then add the can of crushed tomatoes, as well as a can full of water.

Cover the pot, boil, and reduce heat to a simmer for 2 hours.

Taste the chili to see if it needs more cumin or spicy paprika/chili powder.

Serve alone or over rice!
